Hosted Voice Over IP (VOIP) Services by Lee Hopkins In considering hosted VOIP options, there are many ways to view the options. It all depends on what you are looking for in terms of a product or service. There are many people that believe that hosted VOIP service is the most wonderful thing that they can get while others determine it to be absolutely ineffective. You first will likely need some information about what all of this means before you can make a decision as to how hosted VOIP will impact your life. There are many different companies interested in having your hosted VOIP business. They think they can offer you the very best in VOIP service hosting and that they can provide you with all of the special features you want. You need to find out which hosting service works best for you in terms of what you are after and establish those needs before you make any snap judgment calls in the world of VOIP telephony. A hosting service like Qwest offers a whole slough of options for their customers. Qwest hosting hosts the voice and messaging system, removing the customer’s need for owning and maintaining a PBX key system. It also establishes an update interface that will ensure that Qwest VOIP customers will always have up-to-date features and functions on their service plan. Qwest also offers a completely integrated telecommunications bundle for their hosting customers, including Microsoft Outlook. They promise top notch services for their customers and offer some of the highest speed VOIP connections around. Another hosting service is Aptela. One feature that Aptela stands by for their business VOIP customers is the use of a single button to transfer, connect, and move calls around on their network. Aptela also runs with plug-and-play operatives, automatically installing the software on your computer to connect you properly to the interface. They also offer a pile of services for personal users, but their prime focus seems to be among business users. Aptela provides a personal locator, loudspeaker paging, and multiple phone ring tones to operate multiple call alerts at one time. Yet another hosting company on the market is CallTower. CallTower provides a lot of services for businesses and personal users of their hosted VOIP services. This includes a personal digital assistant to manage your calls, track you down wherever you are, and announce the caller to you much like a real personal assistant would do. There is also the popular click-and-dial feature from CallTower hosted VOIP that allows a simple click to produce a lot of action behind it and connect you right to who you want to speak to. There are many companies that offer VOIP services to a lot of diverse clients. Finding the one for you can be difficult and multifaceted, as they are filled with special features and personal assistants. Taking the simple approach, however, may well be the better approach for your VOIP product supplier and your hosted VOIP service providers. With the information you collect about hosted VOIP, you can hopefully make the right decision and pick the best service for yourself, your family, or your business.
