Business writing

“Communicate with passion!”

Lee Hopkins, the passionate copywriter

I have been helping businesses develop their online communications since 1997.

I have written multiple books on social media and how businesses can take advantage of it to increase profits, diversify brand exposure, invite new audiences, and relate to the public. I have spoken about business communication around the world, in San Francisco, Dubai, Doha and around Australia in all the capital cities.

Over the years I have recorded many videos (I was the first business communicator in Australia to record regular vidcasts). Here’s some of my most recent videos. And here’s some of my earlier videos.

I have written and run workshops and presentations on business communication and social media (view some slide decks) as well as written many business communication plans.

I use AI to create powerful and compelling marketing communication plans.

Just as you shouldn’t trust your social media presence to your intern, so you shouldn’t trust your business communication to anyone but a seasoned professional, someone who understands business in all its complexity and nuance.

Adademia: Psychology and the ‘Psychological Contract’

Quite a while ago—1998—my late fiancée and I published a series of academic papers on the exciting psychological concept of the ‘Psychological Contract‘; papers that are still being referenced in other academic papers today. I have a copy of the first paper we wrote and I remain very proud of it (the journal that published it was and remains a very prestigious journal and to get a paper published in it means that your paper was of an exceedingly high standard, such is the competition to get the nod from the expert and anonymous reviewers.
