I replied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within seconds, I received another Amazon email telling me\u2026 wait for it\u2026 that the address I\u2019d just replied to doesn\u2019t accept incoming mail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s not just a communication failure\u2014it\u2019s a Kafkaesque loop. One department sends you in a direction, another department slams the door, and the customer is left spinning in circles like a lab rat that keeps bumping into the same wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, my account remains locked, my royalties withheld, and my patience tested by a system that confuses security theatre with actual security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amazon can tell me a thousand times that my Two-Step Verification is disabled. But when the login screen still demands a code I can\u2019t access, all those reassurances are worth less than the pixels they\u2019re written on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What does it say about an organisation when its internal departments can\u2019t even coordinate who\u2019s supposed to receive an email? And what does it say about their respect for customers when they keep sending automated brush-offs instead of engaging with the actual problem?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"lesson-for-leaders\">\n  <h3>Lesson for Amazon<\/h3>\n  <p>If your systems trap customers in loops, you\u2019re not protecting your brand\u2014you\u2019re dismantling trust one reply at a time. Every \u201cdo not reply\u201d address is a missed opportunity to listen. And every form letter that contradicts lived reality erodes credibility.<\/p>\n<p>Customers don\u2019t need more form letters.
