Amazon itself sells Comprehend<\/strong>\u2014an AI service that analyses sentiment and escalation risk in text. If they\u2019re running it on customer support emails (and why wouldn\u2019t they?), my case must be lighting up their dashboard like a Christmas tree. Negative sentiment. Escalation risk. Repeat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At some point, does a dashboard blaring red become too embarrassing? Easier to flick the switch and stop the emails altogether?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If so, then under Andy Jassy, CEO of Amazon<\/strong>, the world\u2019s biggest retailer isn\u2019t just failing at customer service. It\u2019s silencing authors who complain about having their royalties withheld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Books sell. Amazon gets paid. Authors don\u2019t. And when we speak up? Our messages vanish into the void.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
