Here\u2019s 10 areas of corporate life you may want to pay a bit of attention to: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Narcissism \u2014 wanting to be liked so much that you avoid necessary confrontations <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Emotional Immaturity \u2014 always playing the office clown is a great example of this <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Self-Defeat Messages \u2014 repeatedly making negative comments about yourself. Yes, there is a fine line between self-deprecation and modesty\/humility <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Revenge \u2014 attempting to \u2018get even\u2019 with your employer for reasons such as low salary or a poor performance review <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Attention-Seeking \u2014 trying so hard to get noticed that, for example, you become over-critical of management <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. Procrastination \u2014 often develops into getting a reputation for being unreliable <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7. Excessive absenteeism or lateness \u2014 you develop the reputation of being both unprofessional and uninterested in your career <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8. Thrill seeking \u2014 like making unauthorised use of company equipment, just for kicks <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9. Crossing swords \u2014 with those more powerful is a dangerous idea. VERY dangerous if done too often! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10. Unrealistic Expectations \u2014 you often fail and then naturally become discouraged and less likely to perform at your best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Give yourself an occasional personal performance review on these 10 topics and help keep yourself both highly valuable and highly employable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, that\u2019s it for this video.
