We veterans are no different from non-veterans in that we too suffer from health issues. It&#8217;s just that it seems we suffer the most. It&#8217;s not a competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Suicide Rates: Veterans vs. Civilians in Australia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Civilian Suicide Rates<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">In Australia, the general suicide rate for civilians in 2022 was approximately 12.1 deaths per 100,000 people[3].
